About Montecito Baptist School
Montecito Baptist School is a nonprofit, independent Christian school and a ministry of Montecito Baptist Church. Established in 1995, the school began as a vision placed upon the heart of Pastor Ezequiel Salazar, who sensed the need for a Christ-centered educational alternative to the increasingly humanistic philosophy growing within many pubic schools across our state.
With the support of the church, this vision grew into a school committed to honoring God in every aspect of learning. From its earliest days, Montecito Baptist School has sought to provide an education that nurtures the heart, strengthens the mind, and shapes the character of every student. Our purpose is to equip young people to become courageous leaders-students who serve God and others, pursue His Truth, and make a positive impact on the culture around them.

Our Academic Approach
Our Christ-centered academic program is designed to inspire students with a lifelong love of learning. We provide challenging college-preparatory academics within a nurturing environment where every student is encouraged to reach their fullest God-given potential.
Music Class
We believe that music is a gift from God to be explored and enjoyed. Our program nurtures the hearts and abilities of students while broadening their minds through rich and diverse musical education.
Sports
We believe that athletics provide a unique opportunity for students to grow in faith and character. Our sports program encourages teamwork, discipline, and perseverative from a Christ-centered perspective.
Preschool
Children are cared for in a safe, nurturing, and loving environment where they are encouraged to discover their God-given talents through a rich variety of hands-on activities. We believe that play is a child’s most important work. as they learn and grow, students develop academic skills in many defferent ways while also gaining confidence in group settings. Our preschoolers are guided to become independent, self-reliant, and compassionate learners within a Christ-centered, child-sized environment.
Science
The study of God’s creation that encourages careful observation, reasoning, and discovery, leading to understanding and inventions that reveal the order and design established by God.
Mathematics
Trains the mind to think clearly and orderly, preparing students to use their God-given abilities to serve and lead with wisdom, and guiding them toward a bright future.
Languages
Learning Language is a gift from God that enables students to communicate truth, share wisdom, and use their words to uplift and inspire others.
